Crighton Anderson has undertaken development of a methodology for the valuation of all Telecom Group communication rateable assets for rating purposes. The methodology has necessarily tested the boundaries of ODRC valuation because of the significant advances in telecommunications technology since the early copper network and staffed exchanges were installed and the required level of optimisation. Our methodology is encapsulated in a complex valuation model with an associated valuation handbook, which is now being relied on by most rating valuers in New Zealand and has been tested in the Land Valuation Tribunal.
