Resource valuation
New Zealand’s natural resources are becoming increasingly difficult to appropriately allocate between competing uses. Competition for water is fierce throughout New Zealand, particularly in the drier east coast regions of the South Island and access typically implies high capital demands and associated complex factors including funding, ownership, affordability, take-up and obvious environmental matters. Crighton Anderson has gained considerable experience in the provision of economic modeling, pricing and affordability analysis in relation to water issues. Our mineral resources experience extends to the consideration of value for reserves including limestone, metal, coal and geothermal. The majority of these valuations involve discounted cash flow and capitalisation methodologies.
This practice area is headed by Director Tim Crighton and (where applicable) utilises the skills and experience of Non-Executive Director Dr. Greg Anderson and the resources of corporate finance firm Northington Partners.
