Water
Like many natural resources, water is a resource that is increasingly difficult to appropriately allocate between activities. This situation has been exacerbated by the strong growth and importance of the primary industries sector. New and existing irrigation schemes compete intensely for a share of the available resource – particularly in the drier east coast regions of the South Island. Regional schemes typically have high capital demands and associated complex factors including funding, ownership, privatisation, affordability, allocation, take-up, storage, security of supply and obvious environmental matters.
Crighton Anderson has gained considerable experience in the provision of economic modeling for a number of schemes and assisting with pricing and affordability analysis. Our water related valuation assignments are headed by Director Tim Crighton.
